The CERTINA Group, headquartered in Munich, Germany, today announced the signing of a purchase agreement to acquire two plants for thermal and acoustic insulation products from ElringKlinger AG. The transaction covers the sites in Sevelen, Switzerland, and Buford, USA. The purchase agreement was signed on October 7, 2024, and the final closing is expected to take place before the end of this year.
With this strategic acquisition, the CERTINA Group gains two strong companies in the field of high-temperature solutions. This enables it to expand its market position and technological expertise in the field of thermo-acoustic solutions. Close cooperation with the ISOLITE Group, a subsidiary of CERTINA, will create valuable synergies for the development of efficient and innovative high-temperature insulation solutions.
The acquisition of ElringKlinger’s subsidiaries in Switzerland and the USA, which together generate sales of approximately €175 million, increases sales in the CERTINA Group’s High Temperature Solutions segment to over €275 million. At the same time, the global footprint is strengthened with twelve production and technology sites in the USA, Europe, and Asia.
This step marks an important milestone in the history of the CERTINA Group and underscores the company’s commitment to being a strong and reliable partner for its customers and expanding its market leadership in the field of advanced insulation solutions.
